- In her teens, Andreea graduated from a computer science faculty, but life took her in a completely different direction.

- Before she became the host of the show “Surprize-surprize”, she worked as editor and presenter of a newscast in Bucharest.

- Charity work are another thing that represent “Zana Surprizelor”. She is the founding president of the “Pretuieste Viata” Foundation (launched in 2008), and she is the UNICEF ambassador (Fund created to help children worldwide).
- Andreea Marin is also a book author. Her book is titled in honor of her charitable foundation “Pretuieste Viata” and is the first volume in the “Albumele Andreei” collection. The money earned from selling the book is intended to help mothers with cancer.
- In 2001, she became the first Romanian journalist to climb the Kilimanjaro peak in Africa. In the same year, she co-produced the “Kilimanjaro 2001” documentary on TVR.
Andreea has been married three times. The first marriage was to Cristian Gheorghita (1995-2000), and the second one to the singer Stefan Banica Jr. (2006-2013), during which their daughter Violeta was born. Her third marriage was to Tuncay Ozturk, a physiotherapist at a clinic in Turkey, with whom she lived for only three years, divorcing in 2016.
Currently, Andreea is in another relationship, this time with Adrian Brancoveanu, an employee of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
