Alexandru Vakulovski is a well-known blogger, essayist, poet, literary critic, prose writer, publicist and Romanian translator. He was born in 1978 in the Suvorov village in the USSR, currently the town of Stefan Voda, in the Republic of Moldova.
The most famous books written by Alexandru are: “Pizdet”, “Afganii”, “Privelisti”, “A cui e casa asta”, “157 trepte spre iad”, and many others.
Although he is a rather famous personality in the Romanian literary scene, many of us don’t know much about him as a private person. - Alexandru is considered one of the most promising, but also controversial writers of the young generation, due to his manner of writing. The author uses harsh and licentious language in his books. We can deduce this even from the title of the first novel – “Pizdet”, from the “Letopizdet” trilogy.
- Although the writer began his studies in literature in the Republic of Moldova, at the State University of Moldova, he later transferred to Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, where he began his story-writing career. Vakulovski made his debut in the world of prose and poetry with texts published in several cultural magazines in Romania.
- Nowadays the poet and prose writer has a blog bearing his name, quite loved by Internet users, but he is also the founder and editor of the “Tiuk” online magazine and of cenaKLU KLU (a writers’ club).
- Alexandru is not the only child in the family who is passionate about writing. His older brother, Mihail Vakulovski is also a blogger, essayist, poet, novelist, translator, but also a playwright. Together, the brothers founded the cenaKLU KLU.
- Both inherited their literary talent from their father, Alexei Vakulovski who was a teacher of Romanian language and literature and who loved to write. However, he did not publish any books at the time, not wanting to become a Soviet author.
