RED woman EXPERIENCE
contraception after 35 +
The experiences that a mature woman has in relation to her body ... They can be upsetting if you are not ready to face them, or, on the contrary, a pleasant discovery if you are correctly informed. Today, together with Gedeon Richter, an expert in women’s health, we take another step towards you, with the most frequently asked questions about Hormonal Balance & Women’s Health, especially after the age of 35.
Contraception in the lives of women after the age of 35 can be (re) influenced by several factors: sex life, decreased fertility, sexual problems, menstrual disorders and general health.
This may be the moment that will make us re-evaluate contraceptive options. Some women may continue to take the microdose hormone pill, while others may consider the method of long-term contraception.
The microdose contraceptive pill consists of a combination of estrogen and progesterone. Women who do not smoke and do not have risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease may continue to use this form of contraception until menopause or until they reach the age of 51. The pill can offer women a number of additional benefits in addition to effective contraception. Irregular cycles and pain during menstruation that occur frequently in the pre-menopausal period, called perimenopause – can be controlled with this type of pill. The use of the pill is also associated with a low incidence of gynecological conditions, such as pelvic infections, ovarian cysts, and ovarian and uterine cancer. Menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes and vaginal dryness can also be reduced with the pill.
Intrauterine hormonal system – safe and convenient method for women approaching menopause. If it is fitted at the age of over 40, it can remain unchanged until menopause. First, it should not be confused with a traditional IUD that can cause more frequent, longer and sometimes more painful periods. The intrauterine system is different due to the hormone it contains. In addition to its long-term contraceptive effect, the intrauterine (hormonal) system is also used in the treatment of menstrual problems (they will become shorter, not abundant and painless).
It can also be recommended for postmenopausal women to balance menopausal hormone therapy. In this case, your gynecologist will recommend only the combining a transdermal spray with estrogen to alleviate hot flashes (the most common symptom during this period).

Here is our last RED dinner in 2020. This time we addressed a very important topic – MODERN WOMAN, BEAUTY AND LAST GENERATION CONTRACEPTION. We shared experiences and had sincere and open discussions, and Dr. Maxim Calaras was so attentive and warm with every answer to our questions.
A quiet evening, full of information, in a small circle, because only this allows us the situation we are all in. This period makes us better realize how important our health and the health of those around us are. A new year, a new beginning, with you: RED Community!
